Alright race fans, this will be an emotional piece since we have come to the end of our racing season. So let’s get started.

First off, we have a new Craftman Truck Series Champion in Matt Craftton, who beat out Ty Dillon for the championship. Matt finished the race by limping home after the 1st green flag attempt at the checkered flag and finishing the race in 21st place. Truck Driver/Owner Kyle Busch was involved in 11 races and it was Kyle winning the race to up the number of wins this year to five.

In the Nationwide Series, Austin Dillon beat out Sam Hornish, Jr. to win his 1st Nationwide Championship. It was his second of three NASCAR Series Championships while driving the legendary # 3 car made famous by the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. & his son Dale Jr. Both Dale Sr. and Jr. won Championships driving the #3. Sr. was driving the famous number at the time of his unfortunate death in 2001; he was driving for Dillon’s Grandfather & RCR Owner Richard Childress when he passed. Austin will be making the move up to the Cup Series in 2014.

Jimmie had a 23 point lead going into the race while Matt had the pole position giving him pick of the pits and a chance to have extra help getting in & out of pit stops. But it was Jimmie who won coming home 9th and ending up three points ahead of Matt.
